In the third quarter of 2025, the European market for music and podcast apps on iOS showcased intriguing trends. According to data from Sensor Tower, the top five applications demonstrated varied performance in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users.

Deezer: Music Player, Podcast saw a consistent performance in its weekly revenue, which fluctuated between $1.4M and $1.9M, peaking towards the end of September. Downloads were relatively stable, hovering around 30K to 35K weekly, while active users rose gradually from 4.5M to approximately 5M by the end of the quarter.

YouTube Music experienced a steady flow in weekly downloads, maintaining figures between 105K and 128K. The revenue trend was stable, with a slight increase in late September, reaching up to $1.5M. Active users showed a modest increase from 6.5M to 6.7M.

Amazon Music: Songs & Podcasts had a notable rise in weekly revenue, peaking at nearly $1M by the end of September. Downloads remained consistent, ranging from 45K to 60K, and active users saw a slight increase, ending the quarter at about 4.7M.

SoundCloud: The Music You Love maintained steady weekly downloads around 85K to 99K. Revenue showed a slight upward trend, culminating at $888K at the quarter's end. Active users fluctuated, starting at 4.4M and ending slightly lower at 4.2M.

Finally, Podimo: Podcasts & audiobooks presented a stable revenue flow, generally between $400K and $500K. Downloads were modest, ranging from 11K to 19K weekly, while active users increased slightly from 600K to 608K by the quarter's end.
